Omenihu Amachi is a creative Fine Artist whose work is marked by exceptional talent.
Born Igbo in Nigeria, Omenihu began experimenting in different art media at an early age.
He relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1983 where he now lives and embaces on a lifelong reflective and purposeful art practice.
Omenihu Studied at Cheyney University, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with degrees in Fine Art and in Communication Arts. Although he embarked on intensive and extensive studies in painting, drawing, photography and video production Omenihu is a natural born artist and largely self-taught.
Omenihu has build a collection of quality works in oils and Acrylics with subject matter relative but not limited to expressions and interpretations of beauty and spirituality and to past and present cultural and historic lifestyles of Africa, America and contemporary world issues.
His passionate narratives of cognitive meaning are expressed in vivid colorful brushstrokes. His vibrant style incorporates the drumbeat rhythm and symbolism of his heritage and the openness of nature’s tropical element to convey meaningful interpretations of insightful societal significance.
